Kennebec River:  Daily trips start by winding down through a beautiful narrow gorge.  With the first 6 miles of Class 3-5 Whitewater, you are sure to be on the edge of your seat!  Excellent for beginners and the slightly reserved. Min. age 10

Other options for Kennebec River fun! You can skip the first 6 miles of the trip, our guides will bring to the place where the rest of your party will stop for a snack break.  You can hop in there and enjoy the rest of the river with them.

Dead River:  Don't let the name scare you!  With 16 miles of continuous Class 3 and 4 whitewater, this makes for a very exciting trip!  With limited days to run this river, it is always in high demand. Min. age 12

KAYAK/CANOE RIVER DAY TRIPS

   Let our guides take on a wonderfully amateur rated river trip!  This is a float for people of all ages, from 8 to 80!  Everything is provided, sit-on-top kayak, life jacket, paddle, and a homemade snack when you return to the Lodge.  Our kayaks are very comfortable to sit on, you are not sitting down inside a hole but rather on top, enjoying the warm sun; and they are very stable, no tipping over. Your day begins at Pine Grove Lodge around noon, we provide the transportation to and from the river.  We will return to the Lodge around 4:30.  (Times depend on the dam release each day.)  The cost for this trip is $50 per person, although we provide a discount if you have chosen your lodging here as well.

NEW!  PONTOON BOAT SCENIC TOURS DAILY!

  Take a ride on the comfortable and handicapped accessible pontoon boat!  Wyman Lake is beautiful any time of year!  There are very few camps and buildings on Wyman and much wildlife to see.  Flagstaff Lake is equally as serene!  With miles of private beach and many chances to see wildlife of all kinds, Flagstaff is sure to please anyone!  Enjoy a barbequed lunch and swimming off the boat!  Call for pricing to plan your personal package!

WILDLIFE/MOOSE SAFARIS

Let us take you on a wildlife excursion through the North woods of Maine in search of the elusive Moose. Early evenings until dark are the best time for spotting them, and we know all the local hotspots!  We can take parties of 6 or less, will go rain or shine. Just sit back, relax and enjoy the scenery! $45/person, 3 hours.

HIKING/BIKING

    We are only 7 miles from the Appalachian Trail and we can arrange shuttles with advanced reservations.   There are many great marked hiking trails in the nearby area, for the beginner as well as the advanced day hiker.  Beautiful scenery abounds wherever you go, many hikes having 360 degree views at the top!  We have books here for you to use listing hikes, directions, difficulty levels, etc.  

    Biking is a great way to enjoy the Maine scenery as well!  There are many trails in the area, although the most popular one is the old railroad bed which runs along the Kennebec River from Bingham to Solon.  It is almost a 10 mile stretch of maintained trail, where you may see wildlife along the famous river.
